Hi everyone I hope you are all well.
Next month it will be 2 years since I heard those dreaded words you have breast cancer. I still struggle with what I have been through. I keep waiting for thing...
Congratulations on 2 years clear, Rowdy! Happy Birthday too!
I turned 50 last week, although I am yet to celebrate as we were supposed to go camping (all my family, my brother's and sister's and my parents too) on the weekend, but we had to postpone due to nasty storms! I've told everyone I am quite happy to stay 49 until a good weather weekend comes around :).
I know what you mean about waiting for life to return to normal but I think I am getting to my new normal as I head towards 3 year anniversary in May this year. Life just keeps on offering new challenges and you have to find ways to adjust I guess. The worst thing for me now is my appalling concentration and memory. A lot worse since I had my ovaries out and changed from Tamoxifen to Femara.
Really like your quote. I try to find things to be amazed by each and every day. They are there as you say, in the ordinary everyday things that I used to take for granted before BC. Have a great celebration on the Gold Coast with your sisters! (hope the weather is good for you) Deanne xxx
