Can I ask Balijo how large your DCIS was?
Mine was 1.5cm and I have had a lumpectomy and been told the margin is too close and need another lumpectomy and then radiotherapy. The whole radiotherapy thing scares me. My specialist said DCIS is precancerous but then you need radiotherapy to prevent it turning into invasive cancer or mastectomy.
My biggest worry is I have two sisters with breast cancer, one has passed away and one was diagnosed a few mnths ago with invasive breast cancer; I had my mammogram because of her.
I am seeing a plastic surgeon this week to get more information. How to the breasts feel so far?
