#2 hair cut!
Just wrote a post and lost it trying to insert a photo from my phone :-(
Basically I cut my hair to a #2 last night and really like it!
Have been stressing at work that clumps would fall out while s...
Congratulations for taking the big shave step. Lots of ladies can't bear to do it, but I think in the long run it's the better way to go because you don't see your long hair come out by the handful - no point trying to avoid the inevitable!
I was worried (like you) that it would just fall out in big clumps, but I found that mine just thinned out a lot by itself, then would noticibly come out where I touched it ie. if I scratched, or where it rested on the pillow.
One day I got so sick of having everything covered in little spikes of hair, and having to constantly try to not touch it, I just got in the shower and rubbed it all off. And never looked back!
I can 100% honestly truly say that I enjoyed being bald much more than having hair. I never covered it once (unless I was going out in the middle of the day) and I had more fun trying to embellish it ie. creative makeup, big earrings, body painting, Indian head jewellery, henna tattoos etc. I was using Nair hair removal cream on my head for a little while because I wasn't ready for the hair to come back - I wasn't done with being bald! I'm lucky enough to know some excellent photographers, and we all jumped at the chance to document this stage of my life and make it look as attractive as possible. ie. bald doesn't have to mean "victim".
Now that it's growing back, I'm actually a bit sad that it's a stage of my life now over! I guess I could always shave it off again one day, if I get the urge. I added a couple of pics for you - there's others in my blog. I know what I did isn't for everyone, but Don't be scared of the bald, embrace it! :-) Congrats again!
