1st post journey started

Hi

I was diagnoised with IBC on 29/11/11. What a journey since. I have completed 4 rounds of EC fortnightly with the last one just after xmas.I

I have been lucky in that i havent had a lot of side effects . I lost most of my hair but have been left with a fine blonde down all over my head. Should i get this taken off ? It is growing.

My next step is probably a mascetomy of my right breast followed by more chemo and radiation.

I am overwhelmed with the thought of the surgery as i have DD's and feel that it will be extremey obvious to all. I cant have a reconstruction and dont think i want to, has any one had a breast reduction of there remaing breast and how did this go.

It has taken me this long to come on a write about my journey as the roller coaster ride has been consuming since diagonsis.

As someone said to me , this journey is sent to make you a stronger more empowered woman who at the end can overcome all.
