1ST CHEMO....DONE

Well, had my first chemo session yesterday with my entourage of daughter and mum-in-law with me....Was a long day and abit teary but those oncology nurses are very special people....All went ok..didn't like the "frozen gloves" but anything to help....Had dinner ok  but was a little bit 'wired' last night - found it hard to drop off to sleep but didn't have too bad a night. All ok this morning - no nausea - the meds are working well.....On the up side, hubbie is coming home for 4 days next week - can't wait to see him. Hope everyone is coping with their day......Take gentle care....Sandy

  • Thanks for the good wishes, Mich...all are greatly appreciated..As you said, you would rather be told no news instead of incorrect news...to have your world turned upside down......Which way has your journey taking you?

  • Hey Sandy

Congratulations on getting through your first chemo with no hiccups.  The first one is always so daunting as it is the unknown.

I have been reading your posts and I can relate very much to you living in belief that you only needed medication and that was your journey but then like you say have your world turned upside down.  I think I would rather hear nothing than  to be told the wrong info only to be knocked down again a few weeks later.  I don't know why they do that.

Anyway I am wishing you well through your 1st chemo cycle and hope it all goes smoothly for you with not too many side effects.  I am sending you good vibes and wishing you well.

    LOL, Mich xoxo
