1ST Chemo done TCH

Can't wait to update today progress.

Arrive at 10:00, start until 11:00, everything smooth, nice and comfortable.  No special reaction from the body, no pain, no hurt, the environment were comfortable, nurse are wonderful are a plus.

I finished around 3:45, in between flush with salty water, and on queue when nurse busy on other patients (but no long wait, just couple minutes)  Until the last medication which is non chemo drug - Herceptin, about last 20 min, the injection area started a bit sore, but mild.

Problem, my first day of period............

I'll keep an eye and feel of my changes.  Fingers cross.

Cheers

  • I got my period in my 'good week' of the first chemo and then had spotting during the good week of the 2nd and a last very heavy period in the 3rd chemo cycle! Chemo then finally put a stop to all this and I have not had a period since finishing Chemo 51/2 months ago. Chemo seems enough to deal with without the added effects of a period! Hope everything goes ok for you. Take care. Deanne xxx
  • Sure will Deanne, damn thing was my on period as well, so a kind of reaction wasn't sure from the Chemo or my regular period......

  • Well done. It sounds like you had a good first experience and kept nice and calm. The first 2 or 3 days should be ok as you have the steriods to help. Keep in touch. Deanne xxx
