1st Aniversary

Well it has been a very, very long year but I am happy to say the 1st Aniversary has come. I have had a mammogram and ultrasound and all was clear thank heavens, bone scans will be done in November. I have been given the details of a plastic surgeon to contact to discuss reconstruction and I will have the other breast removed at the same time. My hair is making a slow return  now with some unwelcome greys and my eye lashes are making an even slower  return, I am starting to feel better although I do become tired very easily and still need to take a nap or two daily. I have also started legal proceedings over my mis-diagnosis. So after spending most of the last 9 months in hospital having had 3 operations, 2 blocked ports a angiogram colonoscopy and endoscopy then spending 10 day in ccu after my heart played up I want to say to those of you going through a hard time with treatment, hang in there because it does get better.  Lots of love Kathryne

  • Thanks, I will pick up the pillow case tonight and the MooGoo. I've taken everything on board, now need to see how the body reacts. Take care, Louie
  • Hi Kathryne, I am a new commer and due to start chemo next week for 6 mths. Holy crap, I have read your previous posts and can't believe what you have endured. Starting with the arrogant medico through to the good news you have just posted. I have elected to have a port due to 15 mths of IV and just 1 arm, and i have read of problems, but hope i am ok. How the hell can we decide these things, no crystal balls here. You are so strong, and lucky to have your hubby looking out for you. It all must be still so vivid in your memory still. I hope things work out for you re the court case, very scary that such bad calls can be made when every test is available. Cheers Louie
