Hi @Chelley59,
Great that you are nearly finished!! I have 6/25 radiotherapy treatments to go. Cannot wait...I have just made my medical oncology appointment for 2 weeks time to discuss hormone therapy. My bloods show post menopausal so will likely be AI for me. Reading all about them on here does not make me look forward to it one bit! I already have terrible menopausal symptoms and have read that they can either make them worse (or 'ramped up') as my surgeon said OR because I have already been through menopause it can be not as bad. What I can see from reading this forum is that everybody is very individual in their experience. I always find it interesting that when I speak to the medical profession (remembering I am one of them), that it is often said to me that I have symptoms that are unusual or worse than most describe-I am a pretty tough nut and I feel like saying that they need to have a look and read some of our experiences on the network to see I am definitely not in the minority!! And anyway-unless they have had breast CA themselves, how would they know?
@arpie I am definitely getting the stabbing pains in my breast, Massive fatigue (have worked every day until today and am a nurse also) and I also have radiation dermatitis which means now my skin is breaking down. I feel like saying 'I can't wait to feel normal again' but I now there will definitely be a new normal for me.
Michelle xx
