12 month mammogram and new lesion found.
i went for my 12 month mammogram and ultrasound today and they have found a 2cm lesion on the opposite breast which needs to be biopsied. I am hoping and praying that it is not a new cancer. I’ve had a prior biopsy on that breast which was benign but I can’t even feel this lesion. The one I had last year was a 2.5cm lesion and was easily felt. I surely couldn’t be that unlucky. I had lumpectomy and radiotherapy with the right breast and am on anastrozole now. I’m really not ready for this roller coaster ride to start again.

- Good news. The lesion was benign and showed it was fibroadenomatoid change. I see my breast surgeon next week for my 12 month review and I’m sure she will be happy. Thanks for the support. I breathed a very big sigh of relief. Lesley
- Hi there @nonkyboy I’ve got everything crossed for you. You and others are the reason I chose to have both boobs off. It’s the ongoing worry and scanxiiety that I just couldn’t handle to be honest. And definately not suggesting this is what anyone else should do. I lost so much sleep and was constantly feeling the other boob always worrying it drive me crazy. I’m praying all is good for you. I’ve got everything crossed. Put yourself first if you can get in for the biopsy ASAP I’d just do it. can sort the grandkids if you get an appointment this week? Biggest hug. Margie. Xx

- @nonkyboy Wishing you all the best for clear results. I am currently in the same boat. I know the feeling well. Right side mastectomy, (please forgive my spelling) lumpectomy with lymph nodes & lymph glands removed & the wonderful radiation.Currently on Tamoxefin. Now for the left side... so far I am booked in for ultra sound on 28th May.Then we start all over again. We have been there done that... we know that we can do this :) Yes it's a crap feeling but we know we will get through this. One step at a time. Good luck. My fingers are crossed for you & hey.. I will even cross my legs. lol Hang in there,you can do this.
