12 month Anniversary
Well i've just past the1 year anniversary and it has hit me like a tonne of bricks.....
I can honestly say that over the last 12 monhs the cancer was never a great worry for me, i coped pretty well with the ops, chemo and radiation. I worked pretty much full time only taking a few days of each chemo. I guess for me being normal and doing my normal rouine made me forget what exactly was going on. I as nothing but being positive everyday. I admit, i did have my moments every now and then.
The 12 month anniversary i was an emotional mess.... it wasn't having had to go through what i did that was the issue - it was all about wanting my hair back!! I know i should (and i am) be very thankfull that i am alive and well BUT looking in the mirror everyday is just a constant reminder, and it's hard for my family, partner and friends to understand.
Does anyone else feel this way?? How do you deal with it??
