Hi @lorns that’s really tough for you having unrelenting joint pain - trying acupuncture definitely sounds like it’s worth exploring.
I hope time will also make a gradual difference, in my case it’s 9 months on from my last chemo and immunotherapy and I feel like my evening joint pain has gradually reduced. Yes it is there, but no longer so acute that it’s a barrier to walking around or doing things in the evening (like it was).
I flipped to take my Letrozole to the evening - I don’t know if that’s helped.
I’ve also increased the frequency and duration of exercise - and sorry, I realise it’s a bit chicken and egg because if you’re experiencing joint pain this can be a bit tricky.
I was encouraged by a BC survivor friend to try yoga with her and I was very surprised at how it unlocked my joints - but might be a discussion with your doctor to see if it’s ok given your current situation.
I had a look at the John Hopkins University USA Kimmel Cancer Centre YouTube videos’ as they demonstrate modified yoga poses for cancer patients - it gave me the confidence to try it at the start - I spent a lot of time in child’s pose! 😎
Hope you can stay cool - I am sure you’re right about the effect of heat on your body. 🌸🌻
