retreat

does anyone know of a retreat to help with PTSD, anxiety, grief from breast cancer? have googled but find they are generic with addiction and other related mental illnesses.
  • An Otis holiday may not be the same as a 'retreat' but I've thoroughly enjoyed the two stays I've had. The old adage, a change is as good as a holiday, is true for me.

Money being an issue, Otis ticks all the boxes. Some of the properties are good for groups others are fine for just a couple of people. It all depends where you live and how far you are willing to travel.
  • My breast nurse mentioned the Otis Foundation to us. She highly recommended it and is involved in charity work to raise money for it.
  • I'm on the waiting list for one of their properties. I've found them nice to deal with.
  • @jennyss this site looks amazing. I had already booked some leave for later in the year before all this happened but I was just gonna stay at home. After all the crap this year though I wanted to get away and this site is perfect.
  • Dear @carob Have a look  at The Otis Foundation https://www.otisfoundation.org.au . They have holiday homes in every state just for people affected by breast cancer. It is rent-free for eligible people,  with some time restrictions.
  • Sorry to hear that you're struggling. I have/am finding this part of BC to be a huge challenge. You could try The Gawler Foundation. Best wishes. K xox
