i am having a lumpectomy on 6/1 and I was wondering if I will need a specific type of bra to wear home. Silly question maybe but it's just popped into my head

Totally not a silly question, I had the same one before surgery. I had a lumpectomy and got a front opening bra for after surgery. I got it from a shop in Canberra where I live. Here's a link to it http://www.colleens.com.au/amoena-frances-post-surgery-bra
It was super soft and comfortable. The front opening made it easier to get on because I had limited movement in my arm from the lymph nodes being removed.
If you are in contact with a breast care nurse they can also arrange a free bra from Berlei for you but I don't know how long it would take to get to you.
I am sure there may be other brands out there if you search online.
