My Green Tea Story
Hello ladies
Reading todays West Australian and saw an article on machi (I think) - or green tea leaves. Sure they said the cancer foundation had agreed that green tea was good for cancer patients...
Hi Pam,
I have a similar story about a type of Green Tea, not long after I was diagnosed in may this year my hubby had to stay home from work to fix a radiator leak in our car, he needed to go to wreckers and our neighbour couldn't take him immediatly so he caught a taxi and the driver was from Indonesia and they were talking and he told the driver that I had recently been diagnosed with bc and he was telling him about a tree that the leaves you can boil and it makes a green tea the tree is called a soursop tree it also has a fruit but the leaves are a natural remedy for cancer especially bc and brain tumours etc, we were willing to try anything the driver took him to this ladies house she's asian my husband is sri lankan and herbal remedies are very big in asian countries he met the lady and he told her about our circumstances and told us we can go there anytime and take as much as we want as she has several of these trees and gives leaves not just to us but others also so I looked up a recipe of how to make the tea on a good website and as we live in Darwin they grow the trees everywhere up here, he made the tea and I have to drink 1 teacup 3 times a day and have done since may, another benefit from the tea is if you have chemo it can reduce most of the side effects and that is true as I have just had my 1st cycle of chemo with hardly any side effects, I was sceptical at first but I thought what have I got to lose absolutly nothing and so much to gain, I just want others to know about this If I can help someone in a small way whether it be drinking this tea or advice or any kind of support I'm up for it as my husband allways says I allways think outside the square. I have had 2 surgeries a lumpectomy and a sentinal node biopsy which had cancer in it so I had to have a auxillary node clearance they removed 7 nodes all without cancer maybe it was the tea maybe not but I still drink it 3 times a day even when I was in hospital and my oncologist knows and all my doctors and nurses and they all say why not as long as I have the treatment what's the harm and I think what have I got to lose? I drink it cold and my hubby loves making it for me my 9yo helps him too as she knows it's mum's special medicine, I just wanted to tell you my story about my special green tea. Sending you a cuddle and a smile and positive vibes
