Well finished all my treatment in March! Yippee.
Yesterday evening Finally got the courage to jump on my 2 riding horses since last July! Ground worked them leading up to it and then threw my leg over. Great feeling although now after all the crazy bc year I developed a bulging disc in L5. Massive pain. So I experimented. Rising trot surprisingly really painful compared to a very slow sit trot and loping canters. So I rode about 40 min on each one after the other. A quick hose off and rugs back on them I felt good so far. I had a big cry whilst sitting on the mounting block with Lucky my buckskin by my side. Will I ever recover from the sciatica? I find this pain the most excruciating than anything I’ve been through. So glad I trained these two guys to cope with me especially at this time. My pinto got slightly anci but hey got to give him credit.
I’ve been doing back traction therapy for over a month. Slight improvement. Or it’s under the knife once again this time a micro discectomy. And heaps of friends told me no! I didn’t want to take any pain relief prior to riding as I needed to take care and wanted to feel where I’m at. Just let me ride body! Just give me a f#%*ing go!
