Hi Karen, I had lots of emotions reading your insightful post- sadness that you have mets, inspired by your strength, resilience and intelligence, angry at how cancer has robbed you of your career and finances. I don't have advanced bc but I've had a recurrence. Ultimately, I left work- 38 years of being a reg. nurse is hard to let go.I now volunteer and run a bc support group and am also a community liaison for BCNA.I see you are a consumer representative- what a worthwhile 'job'for you to redirect your talents to.You are truly amazing Karen and your post offers hope and courage to all of us who live with the threat of cancer returning.Thank you for posting.Tonya xx
