Yes I totally agree. I was given a mushroom supplement by a well meaning friend and told to stock up on anti oxidants by another well meaning friend after my chemo and just before my radiation. Luckily I checked with my radiation oncologist and for the same reasons you stated above he told me not to take them during radiation and for a certain period afterward (can't remember exact time but think it was six weeks). He said after that to go for it.
