I'm lucky enough to have them growing in my garden. They're a very common mushroom and most people have some growing if they have an old tree stump somewhere. Of course, you always need to be VERY careful with mushrooms and don't eat anything that hasn't been positively identified. Some mushrooms are poisonous.
I have seen them for sale from time to time on ebay and some Chinese herbalists sell them. There was a facebook page for Australian mushrooms that posted a great photo and said they had kilos of them to give away. I sent them a message and never heard back.
You can buy a supplement from 'Herbs of Gold' that contains three kinds of mushroom, including Turkey Tail, if you can't find the actual mushrooms anywhere.
