Well with the exception of the breast odema this sounds very familiar! I was peri-menopausal before I was diagnosed and I was a misery-guts! Moody, bloated, hardly any periods but when they came - OMG!!! Nothing under 10 days and really heavy as well as painful - hated it!
Ironically the last full on period I had occured on my big 50th birthday party! Happy birthday to moi - NOT! Then 1 yr and a couple months later I had another one - on the day I was having my lumpectomy! Just what I needed...
Anyway there is hope - don't despair! I'd definitely been talking to your GP about your feelings and frequency of the periods. He may be able prescribe you something that will help.
