Anxiety and depression

Ruth, you are certainly being put through the hoops.  I hope your test results are all good.  

I had a bit of meltdown earlier in the week, just very teary etc;  and then they rescheduled my laprascopy.  I totally lost it.  I was told they found cancer in my ovary in early November - as a result of elective surgery to have them removed.  Things just seem to be dragging on, and I cant start chemo until the results of the laprascopy are in;  and I have healed up from that.  At this stage I'm scheduled for next Wednesday, hope I don't get bumped again.  Apart from the stress, there is also the question of travel/accommodation/husband having to take time off work/getting the dog boarded etc.   I know I can apply for IPTAAS, but that takes ages to come through.  The hostel accommodation at the hospital which was available has gone, so now we have to book a motel;  the friends who were going to mind our dog are going away, so we have to pay to have her boarded;  it just goes on.  I know there are people much worse off than me, but I think the stress is getting to me.  Funnily enough, the person who talked the most sense to me was my 27year old son;  it was as though he was the parent and I was the child.  He was just gorgeous, talked a lot of sense to me, and made me feel better;  and also very proud of what a beautiful young man he is.  Actually, I hadn't planned on writing a long post, that all just came out!
