Alcohol
Hi - I hear so much about what to eat and drink that I am confused. If I drink about 2 glasses of wine a week - will this give me a higher percentage that my breast cancer will reoccur? I have finished radiation and am starting Femora in a week.. any suggestions greatly appreciated

- SuwalMemberGreat article thank you. Such a choice. I have stopped regular drinking only having one glass of champagne a week! I start Femara on Monday so will be stay on the weekly glass! Thank you everyone for the information
- UffyMemberThis is something I've always been interested in. Did alcohol cause my first cancer; did it increase the risk of me getting my mets. There are lots of science papers out there but this is one I had book marked. I believe that it's lots of things coming together at once, that cause bc. It's wine o'clock for me.June 10, 2016|By Diane Mapes / Fred Hutch News Service
- BlackWidowMemberDrink or don't drink - cancer is in the lap of the Gods.
Enjoy it ? Drink it.
Go without and still have regrets.
What the ??????
One day ''they say'' we can do one thing then later, after we have followed ''their'' advice, we still get sick. Who knows ?
As I say:
Drink or don't drink - cancer is in the lap of the Gods.

Anne - melclarityMemberOh @Romla i know seriously dont stress about it.hugs x
- RomlaMemberThankyou .I do not mock others as it is both rude and playing the person which I believe is appalling.
- melclarityMember@Romla no stress honestly its all good. Happened to me before too lol x
- RomlaMemberMel’s tag appeared in an email but not on my blog page.I tend not to read emails from the blog relying on it appearing on the blog page as is duplication usually. Is the second time this week I have missed a post because of it.
- SuwalMemberThank you all for your advice and lol moments. I did have a very small glass of champagne with neighbors last night to celebrate my heath! I think one glass a week will be my limit for now. Thanks again
- RomlaMemberAm so embarrassed and upset - I’m not even sure how I knew that @melclarity tagged me as not in my notifications - thank goodness I found it.
- arpieMemberI've done it too, @Sister @Romla - very embarrassing! :( I hope your eye recovers well from the surgery, Gail. xx
My hubby doesn't eat junk/fatty food, doesn't drink & has exercised 3 times a day since age 12-82 (he has been a World Class Athlete & Triathlete.) He got stomach cancer & had to have most of it removed - quite ironic, I thought!
So there really is no rhyme nor reason to why anyone gets cancer .......
I enjoy a couple of wines with my dinner.
