I did. I asked mine and he said that he reads each new study in the hope that someone says something positive! His advice was moderation. That there's nothing wrong with having a drink as long as it's not turning into an everyday type of thing (I will say here that from his name and cultural allusions, I'm sure his background is Italian). His take on things seems to be about living and enjoying life while still being aware of risks although I may be misrepresenting him with that. I enjoy a drink and in the past have probably drunk too much (let's get rid of the "probably" - I have drunk too much) but I don't want to give it up completely. I would just like to feel more confident about what I do drink on the occasion that I have a glass or two.
I have to say that I'm with @afraser in that the taste of most things - juice, softies, water - gets boring. I do like a chinotto but I don't think zero sugar goes down well with Italians!
