Adelaide Fringe performance about metastatic breast cancer

I was recently given  a heads up about a Fringe performance about metastatic breast cancer.

 Thee is a special session of it this Thursday evening (21st Feb) at 7:15pm where there will be a Q&A after the show about the personal stories that inspired the show - women living with metastatic breast cancer. The Q&A features Casey Andrews, the presenter of the performance, Wendy Ingman and Kristy Woodlands, an Adelaide woman with metastatic breast cancer. It is a very intimate space, only 27 people can attend, so if you are interested in coming or know others who would be interested you need to get in quick. 

The Advertiser will be running an article about it, expected to be in tomorrow’s paper.

    Btw it’s on until 16/3 if anyone is interested and if it goes interstate I highly recommend it as a unique piece of theatre.

    It was one of the best and most unique theatrical performances I have ever seen . Breast cancer was a theme but not the only theme - kindness and how you live your life was too.It was a solo performance by the actor/writer Casey in the living room of an old church manse in Hindmarsh.The setting was like Miss Marple’s house.There were 3 elements interviews with 4 breast cancer people from the writer’s life interspersed by commentary from the actor and an oratory about kindness and the human condition.I found it gentle and powerful .I can well understand the awards it has won.There is a lot online about it.I was very glad I went .
