Travel insurance
I have almost finished a year of chemo, I am really well and have had no complications. We are about to take an overseas trip and I am having a hard time finding travel insurance as no one will cover ...
Hi,
I complained to Covermore about being denied cover, explaining that they covered me last year. I had microscopic spread to 1 lymph node and they claimed that I didn't disclose this last year. Had I disclosed it they would not have covered me. I was pretty annoyed, given that I work in insurance (albeit Life insurance) and I'm well aware of the importance of disclosing info. I went back through all of my emails with them and discovered that they changed their assessment form this year ... last years form never asked me if my cancer had spread. It just asked about my treatment mainly. Anyway, so I sent a cranky email along with all my supporting info and within a few hours I had a very nice email offering me cover! So for $180 they're covering me (which is $120 + $60 loading).
Yay to a Friday win!
