Travel insurance
I have almost finished a year of chemo, I am really well and have had no complications. We are about to take an overseas trip and I am having a hard time finding travel insurance as no one will cover ...
Hi , thanks for your info. I ended up getting my travel insurance with NIB as they are my health fund.and knew about my pre-existing condition. It didn't cover my condition but covered everything else, but I had to pay $648 for myself and my husband, which is a lot more than I would have had to pay if I didn't have breast cancer. They would have covered the condition if I had had no treatment in the last 12 months, but as that was not the case I paid extra. Doesn't seem fair to me as nothing would go wrong relating to by cancer while I was away anyway, but that's the way it is with insurance companies they get you coming and going!
Cheers Mia
