Hi 1930
Bit slow catching up online I had the EBRT 5 years ago. direct hits to two lesions was all pretty quick and painless It took more time to set up before each zap than it did. to have the zaps. My 2nd rib was targeted. And my sacrum. At the staging set up They made a mask to fit over my head shoulders and upper arms which clipped me onto the table. (got to keep it as its great for fundraisers.) I also had to have another black bag that they fashion around my hips that held that area in place. because its very targeted you have to be held in position, they don't want any movement so they can hit the exact right spot.
My rib one worked really well, as for the sacrum not so sure though it has been 5 yrs and i have a new spot on a different part of the sacrum . the lesion on my sternum they hit when the did the original rads back in 2017 . since then I have 1 new spot on my T3 vertebrae which no-one has suggested it gets zapped.
Mine was done in the hopes of killing it off or at least slow down its growth. Along with the line of treatment I'm on seems to be working no rapid growth happening.
Let me know how you go.
