Disappointed in The Beacon's name change
Hi All
It's been a long time since I posted. I've been thinking about this, and watching to see if anyone else commented on this. I don't know if somewhere along the way I've missed something. Was there discussion or consultaion about the name change to Pink Lady? I feel that it's diappointing, and disrespectful to our male members, after all, men do get breast cancer too, And as an organisation, I thought the aim was to be more inclusive, not less.

f - Not everyone wants to be known as a Pink Lady even though it's symbolic.
I think a survey of readers on a name change is appropriate. Consultative inclusive! Who fell out and why with the current name The Beacon.
To think I was gonna back off for awhile and here they are fixing something that we didn't know needs fixing.

Thanking you in anticipation. - Thank you all for your reponses. You've all expressed thoughts that I have had. The way the email reads, it's a done deal. Why the lack of communication about such a major change, until now? Only time will tell
