Disappointed in The Beacon's name change
Hi All
It's been a long time since I posted. I've been thinking about this, and watching to see if anyone else commented on this. I don't know if somewhere along the way I've missed something. Was there discussion or consultaion about the name change to Pink Lady? I feel that it's diappointing, and disrespectful to our male members, after all, men do get breast cancer too, And as an organisation, I thought the aim was to be more inclusive, not less.
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts

Absolutely, the article is for sharing. - steplightlyMemberReally clear Rod and Rob. A great read and reflects how you are feeling about all this. Hope it gets "heard" in a very real way.

- DeanneMemberTotally agree with your argument and hope that this helps others to think about it from a broader perspective @traveltext.
- primekMemberBeautiful Bob. A well constructed argument and helps people understand why we have become so passionate about it.

The information is that they will:
- Put up a thread with a link to the survey on the online network
- Email a link to the survey to any members who have provided email addresses.
- Put up a link on their social media pages
The assurance has been given, I can imagine this will take a little while to formulate.
The new edition of the Beacon is due in Autumn.

- AnnskiMemberOnly just caught up with this discussion and commented on an earlier date thread. I have not received any email or survey about this in fact haven't heard from the organisation at all for ages. Do I need to sign up specifically for emails?
