Forum Discussion
Hello Everyone,
Thank you again for your feedback and comments.
I don’t want you to think that not hearing from me since my last post is a sign that I haven’t been thinking about you all and the points you have raised. I am always keen to listen to the voices of our members.
While there has been more than one concern raised in this thread, I’d like to return to why this conversation started – the change in the name of our magazine from The Beacon to Pink Lady.
It’s clear from this forum that some of our members feel strongly about this change. As a result, we have decided that we would like to hear from more of our members about this, as we know not all who have read this thread have commented. There are also many more BCNA members who are not users of the online network. In the coming days, we will share with our 120,000-strong membership a survey regarding the name change. We will post the link to the survey here as well as on our social media channels so you can have your say. We will also email all our members inviting them to take part.
Finally, I would like to say that there has also been a lot of talk about BCNA’s logo. This is a bigger issue. Logos are a very important part of a brand’s identity and over the past 20 years the Pink Lady has become synonymous with the work that BCNA does and as a result we will not be changing our logo in the near future. The initials ‘BCNA’ are not easily remembered and many people know us as the Pink Lady organisation.
We look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on the magazine’s name and I encourage you to take part in the survey.
Warm regards
Christine
