Bike riding after latimus dorsi flap and implant sugery
Hi, I’ve had a mastectomy and am wondering if I can still bike ride if I have LD flap and breast implant? Can anyone tell me how much strength they loose in their arm too please

Bummer about the failed implant :( You may even see a physio after surgery too - they would be able to help you with when you can jump on the bike again too xx
I would think that once you've had the surgery & get the OK it should be fine - but they DO advise NO STRENUOUS exercise for a good 2 months - so maybe add another month to that, to be sure, to be sure! ....

How long does it take to heal from flap surgery?
Recovery after DIEP flap surgery can take six to eight weeks. Your surgeon may ask you to wear a compression garment around your chest or abdomen for several weeks. You'll need to avoid strenuous activities, heavy lifting or overhead movements.
