So sorry to hear about your mum.Not everyone has chemo and radiation after a mastectomy-my girlfriend didn't.It depends if there are cancer cells found in the lymph nodes(under the arm) and what the pathology of the cancer was.It must be hard with your mum in Holland and you here.Hopefully her oncologist will work out a chemo plan for her that will shrink the lung cancer.Many women with secondaries are surviving much longer now due to the many drugs they can try.You would have to ask your GP if you qualify for genetic testing or you can pay for it yourself but it's quite expensive.My best wishes to you and your mum-hope all goes smoothly for her from now on.
