It was a Thursday in July when I got the call from my sister to tell me that she had breast cancer. I can't recall the actual words she used, but I do recall herring the fear and shock in her voice...
Carol, I'm in the same situation. My family have run for the hills. I'm one of 6 & have 5 adult children 1 of whom lives interstate. The only ones that contact me are my parents & my son intertstate. Am I angry - you bet, but I'm not going to linger on it. Iv got a bigger fight to battle. Don't get me wrong I'll stay angry with people but wont focus on it. And will I help them in their time of need, you bet - two wrongs don't make a right & I'm the bigger person. So I'll fight this thing in me & concentrate on coming out fine at the other end
