π£οΈ Share Your Experience of Cancer Care while using an interpreter π
Have you used an interpreter during your cancer care journey, supported someone who has, or worked as an interpreter or clinician in cancer care?
The VCCC Alliance is seeking people to participate in a confidential interview or focus group to help improve communication in cancer care for culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The project will inform the development of specialised training for interpreters working in cancer settings.
Researchers want to hear from:
β
People with lived experience of cancer care using an interpreter
β
Family members and carers
β
Interpreters
β
Clinicians involved in cancer care
Your insights could help improve communication, understanding, and support for people navigating cancer care in a language other than English. ππ
Participation is voluntary and confidential, and involves taking part in an interview or focus group. The project aims to enhance the quality of interpreter-supported cancer consultations and improve care for culturally and linguistically diverse communities across Victoria and Australia.
