Hi all, 5 weeks ago I had a sentinel node biopsy (no removal of lymph glands). A week later I had my left breast mastectomy DIEP flap. I shower every day, yet my left underarm smells of bad BO. No infections, cut has healed really well. Has anyone experienced this? If so, any advice on how to deal with this, given I cannot use any common underarm deodorants.

Hi Georgia. I can highly recommend the moo goo deodorant and full cream lotion. Both smell great and extremely gentle.

I gad similar problem after my surgery like my armpit was working overtime!! It did serm to settle afrer a while but I discovered something after my surgery as i didnt wear deodorant for many months. If the area is clean anything you use in the armpit area will prevent bo. I used to rub bio oil on my lymph node scar and there was no smell. Also i used to massage moo goo full cream moisuriser onto my boob and it also prevented any smell from developing. I can highly recommend moo goo deodorant very gentle no nasties and no bo smell.
