I hope you've at least ordered your "My Journey" kit. It is an invaluable source of information. Take it one step at a time. It's all we can cope with, anyway. 

Hope the appointment went ok today, and that you have a plan in place.

Hi Gaye, I had my double mastectomy on Wednesday.  I haven't been coping well at all. I go back to my surgeon today to find out results and the plan for chemo etc.  I'm so so scared and upset. Not sure who to talk to.  Haven't slept much since my diagnosis everything happened so fast.

Hi I'm new to this site too. I had bilateral mastectomy in March and had chest expanders fitted at same time. Then I had 5 months of chemo and have just had stage 2 of reconstruction  (implants) 3 weeks ago. Good luck with your recovery x

That is a long journey Chris, but you will have this operation and Christmas knowing you have the New Year to celebrate your journey with family and friends.

Welcome to the site have you joined the reconstruction group. The ladies on this site may have answers to your questions. I had a mastectomy and reconstruction at the same time, this was right for me but not for everyone. Your surgery is soon did they offer reconstruction at the same time?

good luck. I'm new tonight. I was diagnosed yesterday and have to go in for a mastectomy on Wednesday. I'm scared.. I was researching reconstruction and would like that done at the same time did you consider this?

I am a bit late seeing your post but wanted to pop on-line and say that you are in my thoughts as you go through this final operation.  Look forward to some photos at some stage !

At least you will be well on your way to recovery for the New Year - and may it be a wonderful one for you.
