Hi Rachel, just wishing you all the best with your surgery today, and hope you recover well. I had a DIEP reconstruction last year, similar to the TRAM flap recon which you are having, and the reason they warm the room and/or put you under a heated blanket is to encourage blood circulation, particularly to the new breast. Best wishes, take it as easy as possible, it is a big op, and let us know how you got on when you are up to it. Jane xx
