Hi Louise,I had no idea what to expect after surgery. I had every faith in my surgeon who had been recommended to me by my breast surgeon. I was shown a couple of photos of before and after surgery which all looked ok. The reality was different. If they are not able to use your own muscle tissue then it is very difficult for them to make something out of nothing. Once your bresst tissue has been removed there is nothing left, only a thin layer of skin. All they can do is expand the skin and put in an implant. Scar tissue does not stretch and as the scar is across the front centre of the breast that is why you will not get a rounded shape. It does not move, it is cold to touch and hard. I eventually came to accept what it is. There was also a problem with surgery on my other breast.
