Reconstruction swap over 5 days
Woohoo. ..5 more days until my tissue expanders are changed over.
We've just done the 1,000 km round trip for the pre op appointment and couldn't afford to remain there as we just couldn't afford that time away from work as my sick leave is well and truly gone and I want to keep some annual leave ...for well a holiday. My hubby works as a diabetes educator in private practise so when he is away...well there is no pay. Due to pre op appt, surgery and post op appointments he will only be paid 5 days this month. The cost of illness that iptaas doesn't cover you for.
Anyways this time next week I will hopefully be tucked up in a big chair with my new foobs.

Take care - @mum2jj . Well when reading the site from Otis it doesn't say current treatment. So it could be at any time I gather. Worth a phone call.
- I wonder how long after a diagnosis you can go to Otis. Think I missed that boat, would have been so great if I'd known at the time. Many moons ago my husband and I travelled Oz on a motor bike. Fond memories xxxx
- @mum2jj We've booked the holiday for July. It's in a family traditional area and not far from where tbe BCNA summit was. Been looking at those Otis retreats for maybe later in the year as well. Just short trips but not treatment related. We were all set to start having regular holidays on my hubbie's motorbike when diagnosed. We managed one.
