Reconsrtuction
Hi all, well I finally decided to have a reconstruction after saying no for 4 years.
I saw my GP today & she seems to think as a Public Patient, I can not get one. There is no way I could afford to...

Hi Meg. You should be able to have reconstruction in the public system aside from the things Louie has mentioned. I have had everything done in the public system in Canberra. My original mastectomy & recon was nearly four years ago now & due to post radiation contracture I am still having surgeries in the public system. Hopefully the surgeon may come close to fixing things for good in a few weeks.
