recon

 

The hospital has just rung to say that I will begin the recon process on Friday!...this Friday!!! That was sudden and totally unexpected. And!! Guess what? This morning I had Maria around to fit me with a replacement prosthesis as my one was split and leaking and just for good measure I bought a new bra as well!

I am so excited and also so scared! I am going the diep flap road (if all goes well) so it will be a biggy. 

I will do my blog starting when I get back home from the hosp tomorrow after I go for the pre op stuff.

    You must be a mix of excited and terrified....I think that's how ill be. Ill be thinking of you tomorrow, best of luck....

    Hi Louie, just letting you know that you're in very good hands (which you probably knew already).  I had Dr Lam do my immediate reconstruction after bilat MX  (not DIEP though, with implants) 2 months ago and can say I'm very happy with the end result. He's a top plastic surgeon. All the best to the surgery, and to you Lynne too!  /Annie

    Thanks Poppy7, I am so excited and yet so scared!!! I know I am leaving everyone at work in the cactus as they don't have much time to replace me but I have so been looking forward to this. I have been to town this afternoon to buy the suck-it-in pants and a new granny nightie and jacket that my mother would have worn! Just need the special bra now.

    Keep us all informed how you go. I am interested in the DIEP surgery too.
