Phase one - COMPLETE!
UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
Day 38 - RECONSTRUCTION; PHASE ONE COMPLETE!!!!!!
The weekend weather was glorious! Had a few events to attend, one a skin care party and the other a 50th Birthday! It was good to catch up with the ladies at the skin care party and the 50th was a harbour cruise, which despite the cold, was great! We really do live in a great part of the world, the harbour is so pretty at night!
Apart from fatigue, I felt quite good all weekend and had a good time at the events and then enjoyed a drive to Picton on Sunday....so sad to see some of our favourite shops not reopening after the devastating floods :( but it was also good to see the town regrouping and life returning to normal.
Today was my FINAL appointment for filling my expanders! I admit I was a bit worried that we couldn't possibly fit anymore in, but we managed another 50mls each without to much trouble!
The Plastic surgeon is more than happy with the result so far and after a final check, wished me well and sent me on my way until December! At the december appointment we will discuss implant transfer etc, which will take place sometime late February.....
So now this part of reconstruction is complete! My new boobs are at 680mls each and my chest now measures 113cms. I am more than happy with that result!
I can now put that phase of treatment behind me. I have a week now until my scan in preparation for radiation. This gives me time for the reco to settle before they start blasting me with rad rays....then I will get a further two weeks to rest before radiotherapy treatment starts......
So now I get to breathe a little easier....It's been a rough year so far....but that chequered flag is poised and ready........so close I feel excited sick about it......nearly time to get out the sunnies, that light is getting brighter!
Not long now bitch and you'll be just a bad dream......
