Nipple reconstruction early Nov 2015, now ready for the icing on the cake! Anyone have a tattooist they could recommend on the Gold Coast? Any advice on this subject & approx cost would also be gratefully appreciated. Thank you so very much

I am still waiting to get my tattoos. I am in Cairns however. I have been quoted over $900 for bilateral and maybe needing another session for $500 a few months later at a lady in Sydney near where my Mum lives. I keep meaning to chase up some Cairns names I have been given. It sounds very expensive!! I do know of some public patients who have been able to get them for free.
Janes suggestion about putting this to the Breast reconstruction online group is a good one.

Hi Vicstar, how exciting to be at this final stage?!! Unfortunately I can't help you with the name of a tattooist (am in NSW) - but Carol's suggestion is a good one if your surgeon hasn't got someone they can recommend.
Costs seem to vary widely depending on where you go - some ladies have managed to get them for free, whereas others are quoted upwards of $500 per nipple.
You might also want to put this question to the ladies in the Breast Reconstruction group (as I understand you are a member), and you may get a quicker response. There are a number of blog posts too about Nipple Tattoos under the scroll down Topic List on the Reconstruction group's front page (under Group Feed) that might give you an idea of what to expect. Some of these posts include pictures from those generous ladies who have shared their reconstruction journey.
Finally, you might be interested in the information about nipple tattoos on the Reclaim Your Curves website and feel free to request to join the Facebook group - there are lots of ladies at various stages of their reconstruction in that group and someone may be able to recommend a tattooist close to you.

I had my reconstruction done by Dr Gerrard Bayley at Greenslopes private hospital in Brisbane. give his rooms a call I know they recommend someone who specialises in tattooing nipple area
