Hi there,
I used the avent silicon nipple shields that breast feeding mothers use. They were quite pointy but I was advised to chop the tops off and cut them down to the right height. They were fantastic and I used them for 3 months. If you cut them down and wear a kind of padded or moulded type bra you could hardly notice. Think my nipples didn't flatten as much because I protected them for so long.
