Breast memory casting

I love my breast memory cast, done the day before my bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction. This is my favourite picture of my hubby applying the plaster strips.

I had it done by an artist on the Central Coast NSW. Standing almost nude in her kitchen was surreal, but she made me feel comfortable. Doing this was very cathartic for both me and my husband.

The cast hangs in my bedroom and I drape a scarf or beads over it ....i think I'll be ready to paint it soon.

I highly recommend doing this to have a tangible memory of your body the way it was before your life changing surgery.
