Time to update on my situation. I had my 6 month review this week after my bi-lateral mastectomy and TRAM reconstruction, which was done in February.

Hey Linda,
Doesnt it amaze you that surgeons can be so reluctant to improve the work they have started? Its great that you have the confidence to push a bit and that you have secured a date. Have you considered a second opinion though??? Just thinkiing your surgeon didnt seem to think any improvements could be done...or was it just that he didnt see the value in it for you?? It seems an odd response to your situation.
I will be going in October 13...so I am also very much looking forward to this one. We will be able to compare nipples!!! I reckon the nipples are key to making the whole job look finished, for me anyway. I think my shape is as good as it will get and i will just let the body recover for a few years and see how everything settles. Time makes an amazing difference I have found.
And another similarty...I expect to be made redundant in probably the next 4-6 weeks. Not sure if thats good or bad timing. I think I will be happy to go though.
