Hi I had a mastectomy and reconstruction on the 19/8/14. Yes it was a long
surgery and I'm still recovering, I'm happy with the decision I made now ,but I did agonise over if I had made the right decision because of the recovery time and pain.
I went through as a private patient so not sure how public works, but stand your ground with what you want and take someone with you as a second pair of ears so you dont get pushed into something you dont want.
At the end of the day remember it is your body and you should have the last say on what you want. Take each day as it comes and be kind to yourself.
