Can't be bothered with a new boob
Hi, being a secondary breast cancer travellor, getting a reconstruction is not a priority, if there are no nerves, body of a weather beaten 50 yr old, I'd rather have money to travel or a sports car or a yacht !!! Seriously, my prostesis is always at hand to fill that gap under my shirt.

The issue of rising boobies is obviously a problem (maybe some ladies don't talk about it) when reaching up.
What can we invent ?
Us women are known to be able to think outside the square so maybe we can come up with a solution ?
Some ladies need one and some may need two but surely there is a market for a solution ....
The idea of a small set of braces to go from bra to knickers is all I can think of but maybe someone else can think of how to do it successfully without wearing a one piece.
Ideas and marketing people welcome, eh ?

Hi again. I guess it is a matter of trial and error. If I had a way of keeping the boobies down it would be okay. (maybe we'll have to give those braces a thought.)

Hi again
I never gave the weight much thought so I will let you know in time how I have found them ! Maybe that is why my fibre ones ride up more than the 'proper' Amoena one ?
I really do think we should get together and invent a set of little fine braces - any idea ? We can't be the only ones who have a problem with riding up.

Hi Summer, The group making the "Boobies" were the Kingaroy Knitter's Group and I did give them my size. The think the problem is that they are not heavy enough to hold down when they have nothing to hold onto. I like the idea of a brace (LoL). I have been using my prothesis with an ah bra (the ones from best and less) and finding them more comfortable than a bra. I liked the idea of the "Boobies" because of the weight and the coolness if only they wouldn't ride up.

Hi there
I am sorry to hear that your boobies were not a good fit - you must tell the maker and they can do more for you. Do you know the group making them ? Did they have your correct size ?
Mine have not yet arrived but I will keep you updated. I am simply hoping it will be cooler in our hot climate - and if I can wear it in a non-pocketted bra then that is a bonus as it is one layer of fabric only.
I have the same problem with one 'proper' boobie riding up when getting something from a shelf at the supermarket etc so I can fully understand you with two.
I have been wondering if there is a pair of miniature 'braces' (to connect bra to knickers) for us ladies to help stop this problem ? Maybe we need to invent some ?
Keep well and laughing

Hi. We have a group of Ladies making these out of cotton. I was given two but I found that they rode up all time and they weren't as big as I thought. Maybe it was because I needed both of them.
Hello Adal and Summer, My advice is the same. One day at a time. At the moment, I am happy having no boobs. I may change my mind later on as it is still early Days. I hope everything went well with your op Adal. My Daughter is having a Hysterectomy Today as she has the Braca 2 Gene and Lynch Syndrome like me. I found it pretty easy adapting to a double masectomy as I was ready to accept it I love your affirmation, Summer. I am a very positive person and had to be strong and I am proud of how far I have come. I feel that I am one of the fortunate ones.. Love to you both, Ruth xxx
