Hi Sam - when I discovered I had the BRCA1 gene in Oct 2010, I had a hysterectomy in Feb 2011 and then found out Breast cancer in Nov 2012. I had bi lateral masectomy with reconstruction with tissue expanders. Hoping to have implants in by Xmas. I didn't use my own skin because my surgeon thought having Fibromyalgia would cause more pain and take longer to heal. Good luck and best wishes Leanne Xxx
