When I had lumpectomy,chemo,radiation I seemed to think it was a speed bump in my life that I had to get over and move on.... Although a pretty big speed bump it was!!!
However when I had a recurrence and then the mastectomy it was a whole new ball game. More chemo, no boob!!! I must say though that the no cancer once it was off was a big bonus;).
It's taken me two years of research to get to where I am. Ready for the big op. If only Louie's reconstruction page was there then. It is such a good research tool. Photos are very powerful. I intend to add to it after my op so I can help others as she has. Good luck. Will be thinking of you this week.
