Just thought I'd post and see who would like to send me their birthday date so I can post Hooray's on the appropriate day!! It's nice to share something so happy :)

My birthday is just under 2 weeks - on 31st October. I can't understand as we get older - and this is mainly women, I might note - that people don't admit to getting older. I think every birthday is special and should be celebrated. I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer last year just 1 month from turning 50. So, my 50th birthday celebrations were quite different from initially planned but celebrated all the same

Hi Everyone, what a great community! I got diagnosed with breast cancer this month and having a mastectomy on the 7th September. Can still go out for dinner God willing on the 5th September when it is my birthday. So far this cancer has not caused me much anxiety but I know my family & friends are troubled. I am grateful to God for all the umpteen blessings I have enjoyed throughout my life.

Well lovelies @Deanne and Paula @mum2jj it's only because of all the lovelies like yourselves (and all of the other beautifuls) who also jump in with such gorgeous well wishes and make the post special!!! I can't tell you how much happiness I get out of seeing the wishes flow in for the birthday recipient - so really I'm very selfish I just hide it ;) And @sister your birthday is noted :-)

Woohoo!!!!! Kath what a fantastic birthday!! - Firstly that you are here, and then I think birthday's are so very special particularly after diagnosis and the uncertainty that goes with it - definitely something to celebrate. A new handbag and a new car to celebrate living is so very awesome!! In fact there is no better reason :)

Thanks. I felt very grateful to reach my 52nd year after the last 10 months I had. Bought myself a new handbag...and a new car...to celebrate living

Thanks ladies - everyone's so far has been noted!! Although @Cosette_BCNA I see you didn't supply yours??? :) - mine is the 21st June (thank you for asking ;)) @Iserbrown I have to say I just love your shoe!!!! - Makes me happy every time I see it. @Mira I have your's noted Yayyyyyyy!!!!! I just made two full trays of my adapted rocky road (Thursday night) for one of my co-workers as she was leaving to move to Coffs Harbour and then forgot and proceeded to go into work yesterday and left the trays in the fridge :s - oh well everyone at work will just have to enjoy it on Monday (with a little less as I had to do some quality control testing, bwahahaha!!!)

And for the belated birthday girl - as we have just missed yours - @primek

That's a great idea @socoda. It's Saturday and I'm at home, but next time I'm in the office, I'll see if our member records have birthdays and we can start a birthday thread :)

Mine is Tuesday! I am just about to start making my special rocky road icecream in preparation (as soon as I get off the computer) :) I just hope I don't eat it all before then :) :) :)
